Benefits
The unexpected all-age ingredient
Gamma oryzanol is suitable for all ages: helping to prevent damage resulting from oxidative stress and acting as a light sun filter, it is the natural protection to maintain smooth and luminous skin. It improves the skin's natural protection from the pollution that is increasingly present in our everyday lives.
Things
It is a substance extracted from rice bran oil. Its name derives from that of the rice plant, from which it was isolated for the first time. In reality it is also found in corn, barley, wholemeal flours, olives and various types of fruit. It appears as a mixture of ferulic acid, triterpene alcohols and sterols. It is recommended in phytotherapy as an analgesic, to reduce LDL cholesterol (the "bad" one), as an antioxidant, as a gastroprotector and to alleviate the symptoms of menopause.
Curiosity
It was discovered in 1950 and initially used to combat anxiety.
